viva--(aiyyo)h
For the past two weeks,I’ve been catching movies I never wanted to watch .Attribute it to the fact that any ,ANY movie would perpetually be houseful in Hyderabad (People seem to find nothing better to do in this city).First it was Apna Sapna money money.[I could not believe my eyes when I saw that someone @ the theater had come to collect tickets for this movie ,that they had advance booked through tele-booking.Talk about desperation].Then yesterday,it was “Vivaah”.And I must admit, though I could sit through “Apna S M-square” ,inspite of all its corny double-meaning dialogues and barely clothed small-town girls, “Vivah” was a tough nut to crack. The journey from engagement to marriage was torturous.I found myself yawning before the intermission . Vivah is a fairy-tale, idealistic movie with ideal people.Everyone is the perfect bahu,groom,son,daughter,sister-in-law,father-in-law..etc.Everyones paal-vadinjufying in the movie. As a result,The movie is all too sweet, all too predictable ,and hence ,all too borring. God,what I would’ve given yesterday to see Captain ward off bullets with archanai thattus or Vijay pull off Santro doors ,just like that .
